前一陣子發生最大的新聞就是：BuildMyRank被Google除名了。

你可能會說：Joseph，這關我什麼事？我根本就不知道什麼是BuildMyRank！

簡單地說，BuildMyRank是私募的部落格網路，你必須付月費，你可以把你的文章張貼在他們聯盟部落格上，這些部落格有非常高的pagerank，有助於提昇你的外鏈，與搜尋引擎排名。

這種方法很多賺adsense的人都使用，在網路界也是個公開的秘密。這種方法已死嗎？不一定，可能會用其它方式再度復活。

這給我們什麼啟示呢？外鏈不要放同一個籃子裡，今日有用的，可能明日就沒用了。必須不斷找方法、試驗，才知道是否適用。

Are Private Blog Networks Dead?

First of all, its pretty rare that the head of web spam team would come out and say essentially, “We are keeping an eye on blog networks because we don’t like them”. So, this makes it pretty clear (if you didn’t know already) that Google doesn’t like links originating from blog networks. And of course, I have personally advocated in the past for using Unique Article Wizard, MyArticleNetwork, and BuildMyRank via my Ultimate Linkbuilding Post here. So, here is my chance to qualify that.

Amazon 不允許關鍵字競標(pay-per-click)

如果大家看比較早的Amazon網賺教學，可能會看到有人用這樣的方式：作好網站，利用AdWords導入流量，讓許多人點廣告之後進該網站，然後再導到Amazon。這種方式聽起來很理想，不過Amazon 已經不允許這樣作了，想這樣作的人趁早打消這個念頭。

FAQ: Paid Search Traffic and the Amazon Associates Program

After careful review of how we are investing our advertising resources, we have made the decision to no longer pay advertising fees to Associates who send users to www.amazon.com, www.amazon.ca, or www.endless.com through keyword bidding and other paid search on Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other search engines. As of May 1, 2009, these paid search Associates will not be paid advertising fees.

Paid Search Traffic FAQ

Q: How do I know if this change will affect me?
A: If you are using paid search advertising services like Google AdWords, Yahoo Search Marketing or Microsoft adCenter to send users directly to the www.amazon.ca, www.amazon.com or www.endless.com website, this change will affect you. If your own website has links to Amazon’s US or Canadian sites and you are using these or other similar services to send users to your own website, you should not be affected by this change as long as you comply with all terms of the Operating Agreement.

Q: Will Amazon reinstate payment of advertising fees to paid search Associates?
A: No. This change to the Associates Program is not temporary.

Q: Does this affect paid search Associates who send users to Amazon’s European and Japanese websites?
A: This change applies only to the Associates Programs in North America. If you are conducting paid search activities in connection with one of Amazon’s Associates Programs outside of the US and Canada, please refer to the applicable country’s Associates Program Operating Agreement for relevant terms and conditions.

Q: Why is Amazon no longer paying advertising fees to paid search Associates?
A: This decision is based on our review of how we invest our advertising resources.

Q: Can I still make calls to the Amazon Associates Web Service or obtain a data feed if I use the content to create links on my website?
A: If you are currently using the Amazon Associates Web Service or our data feed, you will be unaffected by changes to the Amazon Associates program as long as you adhere to usage requirements as stated in the Amazon Web Services Customer Agreement.

Q: If I have been sending users to Amazon’s US or Canadian websites through paid search advertisements, will my Associates account be closed?
A: As long as you stop your paid search activities relating to our US and Canadian sites and otherwise remain in compliance with the terms of the Associates Operating Agreement (e.g., by sending users to our websites through links on your site), your Associates account will not be closed.

Q: Will I earn advertising fees on items that are ordered in April by a customer through my paid search advertisement but that ship on or after May 1, 2009?
A: The advertising fees rates you were eligible to earn in April will apply to all qualifying products that are placed in a shopping cart prior to May 1, 2009, by a user who followed your accurately tagged paid search advertisements, as long as that user completes the purchase on or before July 29, 2009. However, you will not be paid fees on items that are placed in a shopping cart on or after May 1, 2009, by users who follow your paid search advertisements.

Q: If my paid search advertisement directs a user first to an interstitial page, then to www.amazon.com, www.endless.com, or www.amazon.ca, will I earn advertising fees?
A: No. However, if you place paid search advertisements to send users to your own website, and then your website displays links to www.amazon.com, www.endless.com, or www.amazon.ca in accordance with the Operating Agreement, you may earn advertising fees for qualifying purchases made by users who click on your paid search ad, click through to your site, then click through to an Amazon site.

Q: Was Amazon’s policy on bidding on words such as “amazon,” “endless,” or “kindle” changed?
A: No. Associates are still prohibited from purchasing or registering Amazon’s proprietary terms such as “amazon,” “endless,” and “kindle,” (and misspellings of those words) to send traffic to any site. Please refer to the Operating Agreement for more information.
